Beasty Council

Foxes, lions, and elephants gather as the Beasty Council comes to order. In Beasty Council, players decide which animals will lead as Representatives and which will remain in their hands as Supporters, balancing influence in the council with the combinations needed to score.

Over four rounds, players take turns choosing one of two actions: take a card from the shared Plaza as a Supporter, or play a card from their hand as a Representative. Appointing a Representative also allows the player to take a card from the Plaza that matches its animal type or color. With room for only six Supporters in hand, every choice affects both current opportunities and final scoring.

When only one card remains in the Plaza, its animal becomes the Chair for that round. All Representatives of that animal type earn their printed Chair Points, so the cards players leave behind can be just as important as those they take.

After the fourth round, each player may appoint one final Representative before scoring their Representatives according to the Supporters still in hand. Each Supporter can count toward multiple scoring conditions. Add these Representative Points to the Chair Points earned during the game. The player with the highest total wins.
