In Border Clash: Scoundrels, you lead a crew of underworld recruits — Brutes, Gamblers, and Pirates — fighting for turf along contested borders. There's no diplomacy here: every round, players deploy characters simultaneously and let automatic card effects settle the score. Strength, luck, and greed are all valid paths to victory, and each faction embodies one of them: Brutes rely on raw force that escalates as they shift between Calm and Enraged states, Gamblers gamble everything on a die roll, and Pirates need more golden cards!
Each player builds a 3×3 grid of cards over the course of a round, playing 3 cards per turn across three turns. Only cards on shared borders with a neighboring player's grid actually fight: each side calculates its power (base strength plus any triggered effects), and the two values are compared on a shared power gauge between the two players. Center-column cards don't fight directly, but at the end of each round they can be upgraded — discharge a gem ressource and exchange for a higher-tier card (Bronze to Silver to Gold) — making your crew progressively more dangerous.
The box supports 1 to 4 players and includes a solo mode against an evolving Automa opponent, fluid and easy to resolve.
