Splingard

Splingard is a miniatures wargame that fits on a single sheet of paper.

Two or more players command their own warbands using whatever miniatures, figures or tokens they already have. No proprietary miniatures, no fixed scale, no required setting. You need three dice per player and something to fight over. The table stays clear: just the models and the objectives. A fallen fighter is simply laid on its side; there are no status tokens or markers to keep track of. Splingard can also be played solo.

The rules take only a few minutes to learn and use three dice for everything. You never roll a fistful of dice. Weapons behave differently, fire keeps burning, armour can hold or be pierced, explosions spread, things can fall in unexpected places, and reserves can enter from the edge of the battlefield.

Splingard is multi-setting: the rules stay the same while the world changes. Use your favourite miniatures, make your own factions with the list builder, or play one of the settings made for the game. Each setting can have its own fighters, abilities and flavour without needing a different ruleset.

Victory isn't about destroying everything your opponent has. When the final round ends, what matters is what you managed to hold.
