Wargaming guide to troops for tactical battles in the ancient and medieval periods. It is deliberately designed to mesh with Wargames Research Group's 3000 BC to 1250 AD. The upper date limit does reduce the scope of medieval gaming eliminating such events as the Hundred Years War, War of the Roses and the similar 14th and 15th century conflicts.
